Food in Trekking in Nepal

Food in trekking in the Himalayas mostly Dal Bhat which is commonly known as a Nepaly famous food which is well content with rich carbs and protins. What we need is mostly high-carbohydrate foods in the mountains, we burn a huge amount of energy hiking in the mountains. Nowadays food in the majestic Himalayas is available with choices of mixed cultures food such as Indian, English, Chinese, Italian, and many more with sherpas and other types of food. Mostly they have written minu every guest's houses in many choices of rich carbohydrates, delicious food.

 

Depending on where you are trekking  in Nepal, In lower-land areas, you get more vegetables and meat items that are locally harvested and organic ,healthy food for peoples. High-up mountains over 3000m mostly food get stored  or transported  from Kthamndu or the nearest village. So when we get high up in the mountains please we suggest you to be vegetarian because meat items could be stored few weeks and they don't kill any animal high up. So be vegetarian to be more healthy in the high mountains. Anyway, you get adequate foods with verities items such as Pizza, Pasta, chewers, noodles, Potatoes, and rice that you get this food with cheese, Ghee, butter, and eggs in any items.

 

Mostly you get qualities food items which are very rich carbs, proteins, and vegetables even in remote trekking areas. Always eat food which are fresh, locally grown, non-packet food which is rich in carbs and rich of proteins and other And mostly every guest house serves you organic and locally grown food and it protects you to stay healthy. So, at every guest house, they serve you clean food. As you know Dal Bhat. It is the main Nepali food with lentils. Other foods are American items Chinese items and sherpa items food is mostly you will be eating in mountains with choices of many varieties of breakfasts. Anyway, Most of the owners of guest houses are well aware of the food and clean and properly well cooked.

 

We would like to give some advice/suggest you, carefully you can have below-written food.

Breakfast:  Tibetan bread, Oats, toast, Chapati, potatoes, porridge, cereal in any items eggs/fruits.

Lunch:     Momo, Dal Bhat, Noodles, Dumplings, rice in any items, chaumen and potatoes in any items.

Dinner:  Spring roll in any items, rice in any items, potatoes in any items, spaghetti in any items, and salad and fruits, Sherpa stew, any kinds of soups. well cooked, delicious and tasty, and clean/hygienic in any items food are available in the Mountains.
